Labor Day marks the unofficial end of summer, but we’re happy to report it still feels like summer here in the bubble! The sun is shining, the lake is refreshing, and the ping pong tables are getting plenty of use from the big kids still at camp - namely Grego, Tony, Stick, Timbo, Travis, Dan and Maroghini.
Following the finish of summer camp we enjoyed four days of gorgeous weather and the fabulous company of our Family Campers of all ages. With so many returning families who make Windsor Mountain a part of their end-of-summer tradition it felt like a family reunion. Of course we were excited to welcome many new families as well!
After Family Camp we went straight into work with students from the Rivers School in Massachusetts. During their three days on campus they participated in a variety of activities from goal setting, initiatives, and high ropes course to fun get-to-know-you games that will help them start their school year off on the right foot. The past week has been calm and quiet on campus, but the sound of excited voices is returning. This weekend, Labor Day Weekend, we are hosting a wedding followed by more school groups next week. In the next few weeks we’ll work with students from the Brimmer and May School, Lawrence Academy, Fenn (we can’t wait to see you, Fitzy!), Hamden Hall, and Boston Day and Evening.
Soon after the last school group departs we’ll be welcoming campers back to the bubble for our annual FALL REUNION. Details were sent home to campers yesterday so keep an eye on your mailboxes! (Included with the reunion flyer is information about special enrollment offers for the 2010 summer) Reunion weekend is October 10-12 (Columbus Day Weekend) and a handful of campers have already reserved their spaces. Reunion weekend is one of our favorite fall activities and we hope to see many of you here!
